What made me decide to become a Japanese language teacher was studying abroad in Australia. Many people asked me about Japan. I felt that teaching Japanese to people around the world would be more fun and rewarding than teaching English in Japan, so I majored in Japanese language and culture at university.
I have met people from more than 30 countries through my Japanese classes and other work. Rather than teaching, I try to enjoy the lessons with them.
I enjoy discovering many things when I learn a foreign language. The language itself is interesting, and when I learn about the culture and people's way of thinking behind the language, I often think, "I see! ".
Japanese and English are very different languages, but let's increase the number of "I see!" and use lively Japanese.
